GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring tripeptide, glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, bound to copper. It occurs in human plasma and declines with age, which is part of why it has drawn research interest in tissue remodeling and skin biology (Pickart & Margolina review, PMID 18644225). Studies describe it increasing synthesis of collagen, elastin, and related proteins, and stimulating proliferation of fibroblasts and keratinocytes, along with effects on hair follicle size reported in the review literature.
